What banks really think

The IVA has come under further fire from banks in the UK, who claim that people in debt are being influenced by people who should be advising them otherwise.

A statement published on the 1 Stop Finance Shop website stated :"Banks claim that people with debt problems are being sold IVAs as a way of washing their hands of debt, rather than as part of debt management program. This violates the purpose the IVA was created for."
