Young people in the UK who have debt problems don't know where to turn for help, new statistics have shown.
Figures compiled by Credit Action, a debt charity, have revealed that nearly half of UK residents aged 16-24 feel pressured by friends to keep spending despite lack of money.
In addition, research conducted by the Personal Finance Education Group demonstrates that half of England's teenagers have experienced debt by the age of 17. This astonishing figure however, is no surprise considering that overdraft and credit cards are increasingly seen as easy ways to spend more than is affordable, leading to a rise in financial problems and a higher need for advice and help with debt.
