The number of young academics having to work during their time at University is increasing, as more consumers struggle with student debt during the credit crunch.
42% of under-graduates will take on some kind of part-time employment according to Natwest, as they try to cope with the increased cost of living.
Mark Worthington from the group added, "Increased student awareness of the current climate affects their decision on where to study and whether to work in term-time".
