Students in a Scottish school have become the first in the UK to get debt help lessons and advice on other financial issues, in order to help them stay out of the red in the future.
Students from Cambusbarron were some of the first to be involved in Money Week, an event organised specifically to give children a basic understanding of financial procedures.
Roz McEwan who created the lessons commented, "It's not about how much money you have but about how you manage it and how you manage debt."
She added, "Children are now growing up in a cashless society and are more likely to see their parents using credit or debit cards than handling cash."
