The cost of staying in a care home is set to soar leaving the elderly at increased risk of debt problems should they need that extra attention.
Saga say that the cost of a four year stay in a care home will double in the next twenty years having calculated the current rate of inflation added to the rate that fees are currently rising.
The group are warning anyone thinking of either checking themselves or a member of their family into a care home to seek professional advice before doing so.
