UK consumers need to start repairing products that break, instead of spending money on replacing them and getting into debt in the process.
That's the view of Legal and General who say that 91% of 25-34 year olds admit to throwing away electrical goods and replacing them before even trying to get them repaired for significantly less money.
Ruth Wilkins from the group added, "With environmental issues increasingly on the public agenda, it is surprising that such a large number of us are still choosing to replace our household goods and possessions rather than try to repair them."
