With more people than ever in the UK facing serious financial problems and having to consider declaring personal bankruptcy, the Thrifty Scot have published a special 'Pros and Cons of Bankruptcy' report to make the decision easier.
The group say that although it might sometimes be possible to keep your home, the majority of bankruptcy cases will see people stripped of all their major assets, which can cause crushing long term problems.
In Scotland alone, the number of people being declated bankrupt has increased 162% in the last year.
