Summer in the UK is the peak time for burglaries to homes according to research from Saga, leaving many people to deal with debt problems.
The group are warning consumers to ensure they are adaquately covered with home insurance to avoid having to deal with the debt that can come from having your house burgled.
Paul Green from Saga said that many burglaries occur when families are away on holiday. He advised, "Try to arrange for a neighbour, friend or family member to visit your house every couple of days to check everything is OK and to make it look like it is occupied".
