The government are planning to help motorists reduce their outgoings and ease their debt problems, by cracking down on uninsured drivers.
People who take to the roads without insurance cost companies hundreds of millions of pounds, which pushes up the cost of premiums for everyone else.
The government believe that by cutting down the number of uninsured motorist by a third they can save companies £764 million over five years and bring down premiums by £30 on average.
