As the UK struggles with mounting debt problems, more people than ever are being robbed of their garden furniture and other outdoor items.
Research from NFU Mutual has found that a third of people in the UK have been a victim of garden theft at some point, with garden furniture and barbecues the most likely things to be stolen.
Laura Wood from the group commented, "The value of the rural garden is increasing with people spending more on state of the art barbecues, expensive garden furniture, tools and sometimes valuable statues."
