Barclaycard are offering credit card debt advice to students ahead of the new term, in the form of a comprehensive guide to borrowing.
The group believe that more students should take advantage of the benefits that a credit card can offer, such as covering short-term costs and bridging the gap between loan payments.
However, Barclaycard do recognise that if used irresponsibly, a credit card can have the opposite effect and plunge students into a great deal of financial bother.
