Financial services group MINT are warning consumers in the UK who take out debt consolidation loans to cut up their credit cards, or they will almost certainly get themselves into even more difficulty.
Thr group say that the primary advice they give to customers who are successful in their application for a consolidation loan, is to immediately take away the temptation to wrack up more debt.
A spokesperson for the group added that some consumers don't obey this fundamental rule and as a consequence: "They'll never really make any progress."
