A leading debt management website has told consumers that are experiencing credit card debt to get in touch with their creditors, as they have a responsibility to help them.
The 1 Stop Finance Shop UK has commented that people struggling to make repayments should contact the companies they owe money to in order to work something out.
A spokesperson for the group added: "Avoiding creditors can easily turn into a financial disaster. It is in your best interest to speak with your creditors and explain to them your financial situation and to work out a payment plan with them that would help you to clear your debt."
