A leading debt management website has accused credit card companies in the UK of pulling scams in a bid to get consumers to spend more than they can afford.
The 1 Stop Finance Shop have released a report outlining the different ploys that companies use to entice customers into thinking they can make large purchases.
The group stated in the report: "Often credit card companies will flatter you by calling you a ‘valued customer’ and increase your credit limit without asking you. Although this may seem like a good thing, it can actually be a bad for you and your credit."
