New figures from Citizen's Advice show that they have to deal with over 6,600 claims for financial help a day, with many of those people being pointed towards an IVA.
Earlier figures had shown a 20% increase on the number of people asking for debt help, as increased mortgages repayments began to cripple many.
However, these latest figures suggest the new year will almost certainly begin with more people than ever having to contemplate an Individual Voluntary Arrangement.
