Businesses need to help those without bank accounts

Not enough businesses in the UK offer cash options to pay for their services, leaving people without bank accounts in the cold.

The Post Office say that people who have previously had debt problems and no longer have bank accounts, tend to pay for everything with cash.

Electricity, telephone and internet services are just three of the bills that often can't be paid with cash.

Gary Hockey-Morley from the Post Office commented, "This situation includes not only the financially excluded who operate solely on a cash budget, but those who actually prefer to pay in cash over direct debit for greater budgeting control."
